About us
Comic books and graphic novels are literature.
That is the belief behind this group. We aim to promote comics and graphic novels as a unique form of art, reach out to new audiences, and deepen bonds with fellow devotees.
We function like a book club: we read a work, then gather together about once a month to discuss it. Our selections include graphic novels, comic books, manga, webtoons and other forms of sequential storytelling. Stories range from superheroes to coming-of-age to slice-of-life to body horror.
We encourage members to suggest materials for future sessions (or lead their own). Discussions will take place in English, but members are welcome to read the works in whatever language they prefer.
All are welcome!

Superhero Summer: Hawkeye (2012)
·OnlineOnlineClint Barton has just joined the illustrious superhero group The Avengers. A great gig for a guy down on this luck and constantly in the hospital. How does a normal guy with great marksmanship square off with people with actual superpowers? Answer: not well, actually.
For this session we will be reading Matt Fraction and David Aja's Hawkeye (2012 - 2015) series, issues # 1 - 11.
Issues 1 - 11 can be found in two collected issues: My Life as a Weapon, and Little Hits.
Discussion will be held in English, but attendees are free to read the work in any language they prefer.
Please look up triggers if you have any.
We will meet online via Discord.
