Commander at the Cafe

Untap, Upkeep, Draw! We are a monthly Magic: The Gathering group that meets in-person to play and teach the Commander (EDH) format. Players of all experience levels are welcome. Whether you are looking to play a few games, get some tips on deck-building, or learn how to play the Commander format, we encourage you to join us!

Our group seeks to create a fun, casual, and gender-inclusive atmosphere. Attendees are strongly encouraged, but not required, to bring their own cards to play. We ask that you are mindful when handling/playing with other people’s cards. Our group meets on the 1st Sunday of each month at Enchanted Grounds in Littleton, CO. As the café has been nice enough to provide a space for us to host our events, we have a list of group rules that all attendees must follow.

Attendees will be responsible for having read all group rules prior to attending our events, as well as following all group rules while at our events.

• Prior to the event, you must RSVP through our Meetup group page to attend. Our events have a strict max capacity of 16 people (including both hosts).
• Attendees must be 18 years or older.
• No outside food or drinks (including water). The café is more than happy to offer a wide-selection of food and drink options (i.e. vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, etc.)
• Be respectful of the event space. Clean-up after yourself and use provided furniture and amenities as intended.
• Ask for consent before touching other people or their property.
• Discussion topics should be MTG-focused. No politics, religion, or other sensitive/controversial subject matter.
• Keep discussion topics and language family-friendly.
• Please be mindful of your personal hygiene.

Side Quest Event:
The theme for this month's Side Quest Event is...Unique Innovations! For this event, participants will utilize decks using a commander not included in the top 1000 commanders listed on EDHREC (https://edhrec.com/commanders), the commander must not include partner, background, or similar mechanics, and the commander must not have been printed in 2024. The aim for this month is to challenge players to think outside the box!

Limitations for deck construction will include: value of deck (including commander) must be no greater than $200. *Refer to cheapest printing on TCGplayer.com (market price) for card pricing. If using proxies, refer to value of cheapest legal MTG card printing represented by each proxy. There will be potential for prizes!
