What we’re about
If you are 45+, love reading, chatting and coffee, and want to do these regularly, then this is your meetup. Members suggest books to be read and we generate some interesting, fun and insightful discussions over Sunday brunch once a month. Normally we meet at a venue in the Hawthorn area.
As a condition of membership:
- this will remain a smaller group for people who like to catch up regularly. So inactive members who don’t attend an event every 3 months or so will be regularly removed.
- please remember to promptly change your RSVP if you can no longer attend, so others on the wait list can attend and we can give correct numbers to the venue. It's fine to change your RSVP for any reason, but no shows mean that people on the waiting list miss out, so no shows will result in your removal from the group.
- you must have a current profile photo of your face, good enough to enable other members of the group to recognise you
- to help cover meetup fees, members give a $2 donation at our monthly book club meets.
- members love diversity of views and respectful discussion.
