​Welcome to our first Rust Meetup.
​​​​​For this meetup, we’ve lined up two insightful talks:

​1. Actor model in rust - Alex Brezas

​How to structure rust code into actors to write concurrent, high throughput systems.

​2. Making a game engine in Rust - Giannis Gkoulioumis

​Game engine development is historically done in C++ as it offers access to low level optimizations alongside some safety. Rust has been making waves for many usages, including kernel development, but does it fit engine programming ?

​3. Unsafe and Sound - Petros Angelatos

​Rust's unsafe keyword is often misunderstood as an escape hatch from safety, when it's really a contract between you and the compiler. This talk covers the theory and practice of how interact with this feature of Rust.
