Communication Conversations is a space for people who believe that how we speak, listen, and show up for one another shapes everything else.
Our goal: to create real, unscripted conversation around authentic communication, through book readings, talks, and shared reflection, not performance or polish.
Who we're for: professionals, speakers, writers, and anyone curious about communication, connection, and what it really means to be heard. Whether you're refining your own voice or simply drawn to honest conversation, you'll find your place here.
What we do: each gathering centers on a live book reading from Authentic Communication Is Love, followed by open discussion built around the book's L.O.V.E. framework — Listening, Opening Up, Valuing the Human, Engaging. Expect thoughtful dialogue, shared stories, and a room that values presence over performance.

Authentic Communication Is Love - Book Reading + Debate
A reading, an interview, and a discussion on whether authenticity survives every environment, and what it costs to be truly seen.
Join Patience Chisanga-Mayer for another intimate reading from her book, Authentic Communication Is Love.
This reading returns to a thread first opened in Reading 1, communication, silence, expression, and connection, and turns it toward a new question: is visibility itself an act of vulnerability?
We will explore what it means to be truly seen, the risk we take on every time we choose to show up as ourselves, and why visibility, done honestly, is one of the most vulnerable things we can offer another person.
We will also sit with a harder question: is authentic communication even possible in every environment we move through, or does context always ask us to edit ourselves?
Building on the intimate, reflective format of Readings 1 and 2, the third reading introduces a new dimension. The evening will move through three distinct formats, a reading, an interview, and a debate, giving returning guests a fresh experience while keeping the series' warm, conversational tone.
This third gathering continues the conversation on authentic communication, this time asking what it truly costs, and what it truly gives us, to be visible.
