Genessee Campground Cleanup + Visiting the Bison Herd

Get ready for an epic springtime outdoor adventure that has outdoor stewardship written all over it - and perfect for you animal lovers!

Spend the morning with us and the Denver Mountain Parks team at a campground near Genessee. We'll do a few hours of maintenance to get the campground ready for opening in mid-May. Think clearing pine needles, removing debris from the winter, and probably some trail cleanup.

After we finish our project, the park ranger will give us a private tour of the infamous Bison Herd (yea, those cool bison you drive by on I-70 all the time). We'll learn about their history and the important role they play today in the local ecology.

This work will be moderately physical, so please plan accordingly.

Since it's late April in Denver, we could have hot sun, cold wind, rain or snow. We'll monitor the weather as it gets closer, but dress for the elements.
