Edison Green Fair 2026 this Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 10 AM–5 PM at Swales Park, Germantown Ave 08817
Hosted by: Edison Township Environmental Commission (cross-posted by Blank Space On The Road to help promote the event on behalf of the organizers)
Rain barrel demonstrations will be held at 11:30 AM and 1:30 PM. Giveaway tickets will be pulled every hour—winners must be present to win
Visit the Middlesex County Solid Waste Management, Metuchen & Edison Historical Society, Popcorn for The People, Thomas Edison Museum, Edison Library, Lego Madness, World Food Movement, Rutgers Master Gardeners, Face Painting, local businesses, nonprofits, food vendors and a lot of green initiatives and presentations.
Edison Community Garden- take a tour of the garden see what we are growing, including: still on the vine, 4 ft bottle gourd.
Support our Annual Mum’s Fundraiser 4 for $30
Raffle - Take home a basket full of vegetables GROWN at Dwyer Park or Swales Community Gardens.
On Display! Guess the weight and win it
Presentations with students from Edison Care who have been involved with the Rain Garden installation at Edison Public Library on Grove, as well as both of the Pollinator Gardens.
Hang out with 11 year old Kyle and take the Compost bin challenge at Dwyer Park Table and meet his mum Ying as she does the Compost Presentation for Edison Community Garden.
Arts and Crafts and kids section has hands on design your Green Fair T shirt, Environmental Quiz, Scavenger hunt and other activities.
Wellness Section- Meditation and Zumba Classes.
Beautiful Garden Music at 12PM by Megan from our Community Garden and her friend AnnaMarie this you can’t miss.
Celebrating America 250- Reading of the Declaration of Independence at 2PM
Students, families and young environmental leaders are invited to come hear what local kids are doing to help build a greener Edison.
