Story slam in Denton

Join us Saturday March 14th for the Tejas Storytelling Association Festival's Annual Story Slam, hosted by the acclaimed poet, actor, and speaker Michael Guinn, a National Award winner. This exciting competition invites storytellers to share their original tales, each limited to five minutes.
Participants will be evaluated by three judges based on originality, audience engagement, and energy. With just one round and one story per contestant, only one will emerge victorious.
The event will be held at the Denton Women’s Club, located at 610 Oakland Street, Denton, TX 76201, from 10:45AM to 12:15 PM, and is open to all ages. Competitors must arrive by 10:30AM to secure their spot, with a trophy and $50 cash awaiting the winner.
