Don’t miss this amazing opportunity to witness the talent and charisma of Ms. Lucretia Johnson, a poet and actress who has captivated audiences with her powerful performances and inspiring messages. She will be sharing her original poems and excerpts from her acclaimed stage plays, as well as engaging in a Q&A session with the audience.

The event will be hosted by none other than Mike Guinn, National SpokenWord artist, award winning actor, and published author. He will also showcase some of his own poetry and introduce other local artists who will grace the stage.

Lucretia Johnson

Lucretia is a talented and versatile artist who has been performing on stage and screen since 2012. She was born in Nacogdoches, Texas, the oldest town in the state, and later moved to the Dallas area. She started her professional career as a stage actress, appearing in several plays and musicals. In 2013, she transitioned to film and television, landing roles in various projects such as Recession Proof, Why Women Trip, The Color Purple, Love thy Neighbor, and more. She is also a poet who writes and recites her own original poems, as well as excerpts from her acclaimed stage plays. She has a passion for literacy, social awareness, and youth empowerment, and is always willing to help her peers and anyone in need. She is constantly in workshops and training to grow in her craft and art. She is a dedicated professional who has gained the respect of her cast mates and crew. She believes in getting the job done and having a little fun along the way

Mike Guinn

Mike is a poet, author performer, social worker, and motivational speaker who is known for his passion for literacy, social awareness, and youth empowerment. Mike is a National SpokenWord artist, award winning actor, and published author. He has featured and performed at venues all over the U.S. and Canada, as well as appeared in commercials, radio, indie films, and stage plays. He has a master’s degree in social work and has worked as a child abuse investigator. He is also an author, editor, and mentor for aspiring poets and writers

The Ervay creates a sophisticated nightclub environment with an extravagant multi-level space perfect for night on the town. The expansive ceilings and lavish Art Deco décor pair great with performances from some of the premier ward-winning jazz artists in the world. Sit in a cushy front-row club chair or booth.
