Hike Whitney Canyon-It's local, easy, and COOL!

This will be our annual easy July hike! We’ll be hiking Whitney Canyon, which is cool, mostly shaded, and still full of wildflowers this time of year. It’s 5 miles round trip, so if you’re a beginner, this is for you! Meet at the park and ride at the end of Newhall Avenue (formerly San Fernando Road) and the SR-14. We’ll be waiting at the green gate for you at 8:00 for an 8:15 departure. Bring water. We’ll be back before lunch! If you want to extend your hike, you can also do Elsmere Canyon, which is in the same area, bringing the total mileage to 10. Leader: Dianne
