To carpool, hikers can meet at Towsley Canyon OUTSIDE the gate for a 7:00 AM departure to the trail head. The leader will meet you at the trailhead at 8:00 AM. To meet at the trailhead: Take the I-5 Fwy north from Santa Clarita. About 6 miles north of Lake Hughes/Castaic, exit at Templin Hwy. Take this to the end, this is Frenchman’s Flat. Park in front of the gate.
