Bridge to Nowhere
http://photos4.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/9/6/d/4/event_61658612.jpegThis is one of the club’s favorite hikes. It is 10 miles RT with little to no gain. However, there are many major water crossings where you have to go into the water. You will need to either wear water/hiker sandals, or bring a change of shoes and a towel for water crossings, which takes WAY too much time for so many crossings. Please consider water shoes or shoes that can get wet like tennis shhttp://photos2.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/9/a/d/a/event_61659642.jpegoes. Shorts or quick drying pants are a must. You will be in and out of the river, sometimes on a piece of old washed out road, sometimes on a trail, and sometimes you will be bouldering. The scenery is magnificent and there is a possibility of seeing Big Horn Sheep. The incredible bridge is 125 ft above the river, suspended in time in the canyon, all that remains from a huge 100’ wall of wathttp://photos1.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/9/d/f/a/event_61660442.jpeger that came down the canyon in 1938. Don’t miss this one, and bring your camera, lunch, and plenty of water. (Bandaids might also come in handy). Adventure Pass required for drivers.
Meet at 7:00 AM at Towsley Cyn for carpooling to the trailhead at 7:15. If you want to Bungee jump, you can make reservations for that. See both links below!
