About us

I am a local educator and delight in sharing practical knowledge about the Alternative Medicine: Homeopathy.

Healing must be effective, not just inspirational.

Many alternative medicines have a terrible reputation: not so with homeopathy.

No. Homeopathy is worse.

It is the pariah or black sheep of modern healing modalities, in the United States (Ask a friend if you are an expat, like myself)

granted many thrive on this controversy... the rest of us are simply brave or have moved on long ago!

This group is aimed to answer your questions, but primarily to educate in a gentle but rigorous way.

We will study the works of George Vithoulkas, in short 20 min intervals with equal time for guided circle conversation. Tea/snacks available on site.

Vithoulkas' work is available in short clips on Youtube, and as a short booklet. A glimpse of his videos, or reading his short introduction to homeopathy available on Kindle, will provide context to the aims of this group.

Fun fact: It is entirely possible for a person to be considered very healthy by a homeopath and not so by their doctor.

Fun Fact #2: If you don't understand why -- after the second meeting -- we need to change our markers!

Alongside these, group learning will spotlight everyday self healing practices, particularly BACH Flower Essences, Yin Yoga, meditative journaling.

Optionally, modalities open for further discussion include:

  • Trauma education and Somatic Practices -- Peter Levine's Somatic Experiencing

  • Guided energetic intentional touch -- Transforming the Experience Based Brain by Steve Terrell

  • Have you heard of Carl Rogers? His work overlaps with a gentler but lovable body of work: Focusing by Eugene Gendlin, which was credited as a keystone by pioneers in the field.

Education and community work is best when grounded in the reality of short term outcomes.

'How well does this process work?'

Is the first question to ask about any course of treatment.

To this end, I will share the outcome of ongoing cases -- anonymously -- and I will share case studies, and collaborate with locals to produce more.

Hope you followed all that?

TL;DR: This study group will challenge you to learn about homeopathy and healing along with other guided conversation regarding whole human healing.

Humanity matters more than ever -- so come out to support live community learning model.

Beyond niche therapies, we come together to learn about what is the imperative of being deeply human, and to connect over healing, and what of it we may be losing year on year to modernity.

Community education can speak to anyone from professionals, to parents, to the curious minded.

Bring an open mind, as it takes not a small challenge to try to take on the obscure science that is homeopathy.

(Of which, I took perhaps a decade to overcome my personal skepticism on!)

Bring your questions, cases, and share where you are stuck.

Note: This group will be friendly to the education of, but not the treatment of, those aiming to cure serious illnesses.

These naturally need evaluation by professionals.

Please RSVP as meeting room spaces suit small group learning.
