What we’re about
Come join us for a monthly midweek meditation circle. Experience the grounding of our beautiful meditation space and the healing powers of community and meditation.
This is a trauma-informed community group that seeks to cultivate community around presence and mindfulness. This is a space where meditators from all backgrounds and experience levels can gather for the purpose of connecting to ourselves, each other, and the community. All ages are welcome, as are new or more-experienced meditators.
The meditation itself will be about 35-40 minutes; arrive at least 5 minutes early to find a spot and get settled in. There will be some time after the meditation to chat and share experiences and insights.
Dress comfortably. Seating and some meditation pillows and yoga mats are available, but you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer. This is a queer/queer-friendly space that is also home to two cats (who, regularly join us for meditation - especially Harriet, our most experienced meditator).
Join us monthly on the second Wednesday of each month.
Cost: Donation based, suggested donation $1-$5.
Forms of Payment: Cash, Venmo- @SatyaGR, CASH app $SatyaGR.

See all- LUMINOSITY: Grand Rapids Ecstatic Dance Solstice FestNeeds location
Several of the local ecstatic dance facilitators are co-hosting a Luminosity Solstice event on Friday, June 20th 5pm-10pm. The event is centered around ecstatic dance/mindful movement and will honor the sun through dance, art, play, food, and presence. The event is an outdoor drop-in potluck style, starting at 5pm. Bring blankets or lawn chairs. You are welcome to bring a dish to pass (lovely but not a deal-breaker). There will be creative nature and gentle healing practices offered as well as the dance. We will also be celebrating with an effigy which will be burned to honor the solstice and one another.
Please consider joining us at the beautiful and spacious Kids Food Basket at 1300 Plymouth Ave NE Grand Rapids, MI.
Here is more info about the event on FB. Please note this is a conscious (and sober) event.
