Community Resource Group June Meeting! Help us plan summer block parties

Hi all-

After a small intermission the past two months we are BACK and ready to ramp up for Summer! What's on the agenda for this meeting:

• Community member meet & greet: get to know the folks in the group
• Block Party Planning: I've put in requests for the FoCo Block Party Trailer to host 2 block parties- one in mid-July and one late August/early September.

At our last meeting we discussed the initiative to host 2 block parties to build community and to educate on and share available resources.

Party 1 will be a general block party style but with some structured activities to meet your neighbors and to learn about local resources.

Party 2 will be a block party + a Free Market. The Free Market concept is structured that folks can drop of items they no longer want the morning of the party, we organize everything into categories, then we host the party and free market in the afternoon where folks can help themselves to the giveaways! We'll donate any remaining items.

We'll need all hands, ideas, and resources on deck to make these events stellar! Please join us for the meeting and bring a friend or the kiddos. We'll having some small activities for the little ones and a round of snacks for everyone.

We're so excited to get to know our neighbors and to build community. If we can all contribute just a bit of what we have on hand we'll be able to make an exciting rock soup together!
