Earth Energy Walk - Fall Creek, from SLV Elementary School

Details
A refreshing walk along the SLV High School Trail (meets at the SLV Elementary School parking lot). Gather at 10:45am.
Directions
Fall Creek is the northern area of Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park. One of the park’s best kept secrets, it is 2,390 acres – the entire watershed of Fall Creek – and has about 20 miles of hiking trails. Most of these trails follow old wagon and logging roads that once led to busy industrial sites.
Parking is free! From Highway 17, take the Scotts Valley/Mount Hermon Rd exit. Continue on Mt. Hermon Road for about 3-1/2 miles. Turn right onto Graham Hill Road. In .2 miles, turn right onto Highway 9. Go about 3/4 mile and turn left into the elementary school parking lot. (Note: Meetup map isn't accurate - see attached photos instead.)
Bring water and a snack to share. Masks are encouraged, but not mandatory.
We walk in silence on the way in - doing so brings Nature so much closer to us, as we take in not only the sights, but the sounds and even smells of a nice country walk.
At a turnaround spot we will rest and share food. Then we gab like magpies all the way back. It's always a great time.
Check ahead to make sure the walk is happening! Poor weather and, frankly, past attendance may cancel a walk. Info@communityseed.org or leave us a voicemail at (831) 469-0336
Please join us, and if you have any semi-secluded spots you'd like us to explore (nothing too strenuous), please let us know!
