Summer Solstice Storytelling and Catching for Adults

Join us into the sunlit evening during the longest day(light) of the year. We'll celebrate the summer solstice inside a light-filled venue as we gather to share a meal and our stories.

WHEN
Arrive at 6:00 pm to enjoy casual dinner foods (e.g. pizza and subs, provided) and conversation. We'll begin storytelling and catching promptly at 6:30 pm and conclude our evening at 8:30 pm.

WHY
Storytelling offers us an opportunity to revisit our memories and share them with others as we connect. When we catch another person's story, we offer them the opportunity to be seen and heard and our ourselves an opportunity to practice deep listening to expand our capacity for understanding and empathy.

HOW
Come unprepared! We'll share story prompts to help you mine your memories for stories to tell inside small story circles. The briefest moments often make for the most relatable stories. This event prioritizes conversation over technique to connect and build community.

ACCESS
Please note that doors to the facility will not open until 6:00 pm. Shared parking (33 spaces, 1 accessible space) is available. Argyle Loca Park Activity Building is an accessible building with accessible entrance and bathrooms. The venue is a short distance from the beltway in Silver Spring, MD.
