About us
Be sure and check out recordings of all of our past Complexity Lounge sessions at https://www.youtube.com/@ComplexityLounge
The study of complexity helps us to be open to new perspectives, consider non-linear non-causal relationships, and encourages an experimental mindset.
We created The Complexity Lounge to discuss Complexity Science, Complex Adaptive Systems, Organizational Change, and Agile / Adaptive approaches to work and everyday life. We share case studies and discuss the latest advances in complexity thinking. We also talk about sense-making principles and tools from the Cynefin Framework.
If you work in organizational design, organizational transformation, agile transformation, learning organizations, the modern knowledge economy, or are just interested in how you can better understand complexity, join us!

Cameron Tonkinwise - Service Design & Social Complexity
·OnlineOnlineWe are delighted to welcome Professor Cameron Tonkinwise to our March meetup. Professor Tonkinwise's work explores the intersection of service design and complexity. In this talk, he'll examine the question: What is the role of service design in attending to social complexity?
He proposes three ways that service design can 'pattern' toward complexity: by creating spaces for negotiating services and how they begin and end; by gift giving as a way of signalling a bracketing of the service arrangements; and by modelling attending to social complexity.
If you want to read up in advance, you can find notes on the talk on Cameron's LinkedIn page or at Research Gate: https://www.researchgate.net/publication/401565803_Some_notes_on_Service_Design_and_Complexity
