A conversation between Kari Zeller and Dave Snowden

AI is no longer a future problem for leaders. It's already reshaping how organizations decide, work, and understand themselves. Kari Zeller's new book, Re-Placed: Answering the Call of Leadership in the Age of AI, argues that what's really at stake isn't just jobs or workflows — it's identity, contribution, and trust. The question isn't whether AI will replace us. It's what leadership looks like when the ground itself is shifting.

For this online session, Kari joins Dave Snowden to explore where human judgment, sense-making and leadership sit alongside increasingly capable machines. Each will set out their own position, then move into dialogue with each other, working through where they agree, where they don't, and why. The session closes with open-floor Q&A for the audience.

Questions on the table

  • Where do you see leaders most tempted to hand judgment over to a machine, and where should they never do that?
  • What is the role of a leader in light of the rise of AI?
  • Given the rise of AI, based on your own experience and expertise, what one piece of advice would you give to organizations and the people leading them?
