Software Pair Programming - Node, Python, Java and More! Choose your team!
Details
Peer programming enables teams to naturally exchange information and spread knowledge among members. With sessions focused on communication and shared goals, it benefits teams as they can achieve collective code ownership, learn to work on a team, collaborate, and better articulate coding concepts and practices.
Whether you're a brand-new developer or a seasoned, experienced programmer, there's a project and team for you!
I have not pre-selected a project for you to work on, so whether you want to work on an easy or advanced project, that option is available. If you want to build a custom project of your choice, great! I'll help you build your team and do what I can to support your project's growth.
What you'll learn and how you can apply it
- Gain experience and knowledge building real-world projects
- Learn and connect with others in a collaborative and sharing environment
- Choose any language and framework you'd like, and begin building with your team
- Build a website or component, server, microservice, plugin, algorithm, or whatever you and your team can conceive!
This live event is for you because...
- You want to learn software development, a framework, data structures and algorithms, machine learning tools, testing, and more.
- You want to connect with other software developers and make some friends
Prerequisites
- You don't need any knowledge to hang out and watch how teams work together, but some simple HTML, CSS, and JavaScript or the basics in at least one programming language will allow you to get involved.
- Understanding of Git/GitHub is vital
- A code editor (such as visual studio code)
- After installing Visual Studio Code, install the LiveShare extension that allows you to collaborate with other developers in a shared environment (Search in YouTube for detailed instructions)
- Join our Discord server. Upon Joining, navigate to the "Lobby" inside the Peer Programming Section.
