What we’re about
This is a course hosted in a co-working space in Raleigh as per the address.
It will start as a 30 min lecture.
The ticket price will cover the room for 2 hours and food for the course attendees.
If you pay more you will be taught how to build your very own Lightning Node with materials provided, or we can go over ordering options.
We can go over other topics that are not related to the topic of the course, it will start as a introductory presentation:
Computer Science 101 and the Layer 2 of Bitcoin known as the Lightning network.
I am happy to go over modern dev tools like Cursor and deployment as well as other steps in hosting lightning and using the command line.
Please do not record during the session either audio or video following Chatham House Rules, please bring any computer of your choice and it helps to be prepared with a non-work computer. Just a smartphone is fine too to help me demonstrate Cash App's newest capability to send payments interoperably.
Ticket prices extra will include materials, go directly to the cost of your own Lightning Node.
Course Entry Fee for walk-in's will be $50,
if you'd like your own node it will be $350-400 for the materials we can make sure you only pay the exact price of the one you'd like to select and customize.
The location of the event will be in Raleigh, I will try to keep it within 20 minutes drive of Glenwood Avenue, if you'd like it to be somewhere else that is more convenient feel free to confirm we can pick a new location with the group and then send invites.
This in total will cover at least $600 for the space, my time, and materials to teach the course correctly (we will likely be going over umbrelOS and other options as well in the Lightning Node space, there are now over three dozen companies in this industry).
