Making Hydrosols

This will be our first Medicine making class. Mary Kelly has kindly offered the meet up at her healing center in Novato. So we are taking a fun field trip across the bay.
While the making of essential oils require a still, the low tech way to get the smell from a plant is to make a hydrosol. Hydrosols can be made from a variety of plants with scent. Hydrosol are frequently employed in cosmetics and food, but can also be used medicinally.
This class we will be making a Rosemary Hydrosol. So trim up your rosemary plant and bring your fresh cuttings in a paper bag full of trimming (if you don't have Rosemary, don't worry the group will have plenty). Bring a a few 4-8 oz glass bottles to bring home your potion.
