ABOUT THE GROUP
Hey there! Are you tired of playing chess online and want to experience the original form of this timeless game? Well, I've got great news for you! I've created an intermediate chess group in the area, and I'm gladly welcoming everyone who wants to add more chess to their life to join in! Chess has been a passion of mine since I was young. I was captivated by the idea that no matter your age, you could defeat an opponent with only your mind. It's a game that can be played anywhere by anyone. Chess isn't just a source of endless entertainment and thrill, it's also a teacher of life lessons that we can all take away. As Vasily Smyslov once said, "In chess, as in life, a man is his own most dangerous opponent." This quote speaks to the unique challenge that chess presents, where success or failure is solely based on your own abilities and decisions. But we're not here for philosophy are we.
Fast forward to today, and I'm finally pursuing something I've always wanted: a group of like-minded individuals to grow and learn with. I'm excited to deepen my understanding of this game that has brought joy to so many of our lives and well also maybe frustration but let's ignore that. Because we all know the satisfaction of finding that perfect checkmate with only our wit. Maybe you're just getting back into chess after a break, or you're looking to improve your skills, or maybe you just love chatting with other chess enthusiasts. Whatever your reasons, casual or serious, this group is perfect for you.
