Exciting News!

We hope you can join us for November's Concord Software Developer's meetup at Flywheel! If you haven't tried coworking at Flywheel, come early before the event for a free day of coworking. It's a great space to be productive and work alongside other developers. Email [sara@flywheelcoworking.com](mailto:sara@flywheelcoworking.com) to get set up with a freebie day.

Amazing Presentation Details!

In the evolving landscape of computational platforms, we delve into the intricate design of Nostr, an open protocol NIPS redefining how we perceive networks. At its core, the significance of a relay cannot be overstated – acting as a pivotal switch that facilitates or disrupts the flow of information. Nostr Relays leverage FOSS technology available in most language frameworks and modern-day browsers, a prominent one being Websockets. The Nostr authentication layer is powered by the Schnorr signature mechanism. Each payload is self-signed by an individual user or agent, and these signatures are verifiable, showcasing an innovative approach to ensuring data integrity and user confidence.

Interactive computing environments such as Jupyter allow users to create and share documents containing live code, equations, visualizations, and narrative text. Arrakis aims to provide the same functionality in a distributed and decentralized manner. Our primary objective is to engineer high-quality didactic notebooks tailored to empower under-resourced students, ensuring they receive optimal educational support for success.

A proposed implementation involves creating a Code Playground capable of executing Rust and Python on Arrakis Nodes. The code notebooks from this playground will be stored as notes within the Nostr network, utilizing its naturally distributed relays for storage and distribution to the Arrakis Browser/Client and the Arrakis Nodes.
