Let's have an early dinner before Daylight Savings Time.

Let's get together for Sunday Brunch at the Cabarrus Brewing Company.
Brunch is served from 11 am - 1 pm. Once we eat then we can stay and play some games such as Trivia, Mexican Train, Phase 10 or bring your favorite.
To get to the Cabarrus Brewing Company, once on McGill Blvd. turn at the first entrance to Gibson Mill (where the Cabarrus Brewing Company water tower is located. The brewery is behind the main Gibson Mill building.

The book this month is The God of the Woods by Liz Moore. This is about a teenage girl who goes missing from an Adirondack summer camp in 1975, echoing the disappearance of her older brother 14 years earlier. The story explores the secrets of the wealthy Van Laar family who own the camp and the surrounding community, weaving a mystery with themes of class, gender, and sexuality. The novel is multi-layered drama driven by the investigation and the complex relationships between the characters.
Although this might not be the kind of book you would enjoy, don't read it just come and have a fun time enjoying the company and drink wine. The trivia starts at 7:30.

Merelene has opened her home to host our holiday celebration. We plan on everyone bringing heavy hor d'oeuvres. It is BYOB. Water will be available. Wearing an ugly Christmas sweater is optional. We will do the "dirty Santa" game and ask that everyone bring a present, value $20.00. We look forward to seeing everyone to celebrate this wonderful time of the year.
