The book this month is The Amalfi Curse by Sarah Penner.
This is a dual – timeline novel set in Positano, Italy, where nautical archaeologist Haven Ambrose investigates, mysterious shipwrecks. Parallel to Haven’s present day quest, the story explores the 1820s where women of the town practice stregheria, a magical art of controlling the sea, to protect their town. As Haven uncovers the past, she discovers a tale of forbidden love, ancient magic, and a curse that threatens to destroy the town .
