In the charming Conde Duque quarter, we organize language study groups, English-Spanish board game sessions, and other language-related events.
En el encantador barrio de Conde Duque, organizamos grupos de estudio de idiomas, sesiones de juegos de mesa en inglés y español, y otros eventos relacionados con el lenguaje.

Participants are either native speakers or proficient (C2) in English or Spanish, and have at least an A2 level in the other language. Everyone gets equal speaking time and follows the moderators' instructions.
We use gameboards to improve our fluency and vocabulary in the following ways:
- Throughout the meetup, we switch between English and Spanish every 5 minutes.
- We play easy-to-learn games that get everyone talking, guessing, bluffing, and laughing — like Codenames and Werewolves. No heavy rulebooks, no two-hour epics — no Catan, no Carcassonne.
- We learn the necessary rules and words in both English and Spanish. This part is just as important as the game itself.
This meetup is free of charge and purely non-profit. For obvious reasons, however, everyone must order a drink from our host, Be Happy.
Los participantes son hablantes nativos o tienen un nivel C2 en inglés o español, y al menos un nivel A2 en el otro idioma. Todos tienen el mismo tiempo para hablar y siguen las instrucciones de los moderadores.
Utilizamos tableros de juego para mejorar nuestra fluidez y vocabulario de las siguientes maneras:
- Durante el encuentro, cambiamos entre inglés y español cada cinco minutos.
- Jugamos a juegos fáciles de aprender que hacen que todos hablen, adivinen, engañen y se rían — como Codenames y Hombres Lobo. Nada de reglas pesadas ni partidas eternas: aquí no hay Catan ni Carcassonne.
- Aprendemos las reglas y las palabras clave en inglés y en español. Esta parte es tan importante como el juego mismo.
Este encuentro es gratuito y sin ánimo de lucro. Sin embargo, por razones obvias, todo el mundo debe pedir una bebida a nuestro anfitrión, Be Happy.
- Learn Spanish with Native Speakers (< 50) - Aprende Inglés con Nativos (< 50)BE HAPPY MAD , Madrid

The following method is how we learn from each other:
- The English learners answer gap questions like "The . . . you have, the more you want."
- They get immediate feedback from the English speakers.
- The Spanish learners translate the grammar item into Spanish: "Cuanto más tienes, más quieres."
- They get immediate feedback from the Spanish speakers.
- When we have finished the English exercise, we turn it around and apply the same method to a Spanish exercise.

El siguiente método es cómo aprendemos unos de otros:
- Los alumnos de inglés responden a preguntas con huecos como «The . . . you have, the more you want.»
- Reciben feedback inmediato de los angloparlantes.
- Los alumnos españoles traducen el elemento gramatical al español: «Cuanto más tienes, más quieres.»
- Reciben comentarios inmediatos de los hispanohablantes.
- Cuando hayamos terminado el ejercicio en inglés, le damos la vuelta y aplicamos el mismo método a un ejercicio en español.
