Sunrise Hike to Pincushion Peak

Join us as we climb up Pincushion Peak to watch the sun rise over the foothills.
➡️ Since we are collaborating with Fresno Hiking Group, please note this hike is open to men and women.

We’ll meet at the end of Sky Harbor Road at 5:30 AM & we’ll wait about 5-10 minutes & then we’ll be on our way. Sunrise will be at about 6:30 AM.

We do not have an official carpool meetup spot for this hike since it is close by (30-40 min from fresno)

Make sure to bring 2L of water at least & snacks for yourself!

Trail info: about 2.5 miles total, about 1,000 feet of elevation gain, estimated time is about 2 hours total, moderate rating due to steep inclines (uphill entire way up, downhill on the way back)
Make sure you are physically fit for this hike.

We will meet just outside the “Pincushion Mountain Picnic and Parking Area” because the parking lot will not be open at that time. The address is 28936 Sky Harbour Rd Clovis, CA 93626 &/or the coordinates are 37.03837, -119.64804 (put it in your GPS and it will take you right to it)

Due to the recent fires nearby, if the AQI reports anything higher than 100 for Friant, we will move this hike to a different weekend because we do not want to put anyone’s health at risk.

REMINDER: This is an outing among friends and equals, not a guided tour. You are responsible for your own safety and hold harmless the group and the organizers.
