February 20th come and experience a Humanistic Shabbat celebration with guest speaker Renata Bozzetto . 5 million Floridians were born outside the United States; many fled political persecution and violence, others came to the United States seeking a better education or employment opportunity. Our neighbors who are immigrants participate in every aspect of our economy and are integral to our community. Yet, federal and state policy are placing hundreds of Floridians who are immigrants at risk. Thousands are having their work permits revoked, and many more are at the risk of detention and deportation despite living in our state for decades as exemplary neighbors. We will talk about the current context and why, and how we can take action to protect our neighbors.Everyone is welcome. Bring a friend! No registration required
