Rosemount Area Walk

🗓️ Saturday 1st November 2025
⏱️13:00 - 15:00
📍Victoria Park Lodge, Entrance to Victoria Park, Watson Street, AB252QB

Welcome to Rosemount, a bustling quarter of Aberdeen with shops, cafes and restaurants and an interesting history. Historically part of the area was gifted to the burgesses and people of Aberdeen by a grateful King Robert the Bruce in 1315. Until Aberdeen was extended in 1862, Rosemount was outwith the city boundary. Before Rosemount became part of the city , the area was open fields with a few substantial gentlemen's houses and farm buildings.

We are going to follow the City Councils #aberdeentrail self guided tour of the area. The printed copies are few and far between but the online version is downloadable off the council website. [Rosemount Local Area Trail_0.pdf](https://www.aberdeencity.gov.uk/sites/default/files/2020-10/Rosemount%20Local%20Area%20Trail_0.pdf) I will have a printed copy and lead us through the walking route. We can enjoy exploring Rosemount starting with the beautiful Victoria Park.

Please note the aim is to enjoy the walk and chat not to make it through to the end. Flexible, let’s pop into the famous wool shop or stop at the bagel society for a take away latte as we pass.
