## Tinker Night Meetup (Esteem × AVTL)

This Tinker Night is meant to be relaxed, creative and hands-on. There will be a little structure, but the real energy will come from the people who show up, the ideas they bring and the things we create together.

This edition is all about music, sound and AI.
We’ll explore how music and sound can be used for creativity, connection and experimentation — both in an analogue way and through digital tools like AI. Whether you’re a musician, producer, developer, designer, maker, event professional or simply curious, you’re warmly welcome.
You don’t need to be an experienced musician or producer to join. Curiosity is enough.

There will be space to listen, learn, experiment, jam, connect and play. Bring your own instrument, gear, laptop, tablet or anything else you’d like to use to create or experiment with.
If you want to join the producer / AI music workshop, please bring your:

  • Laptop
  • Headphones
  • Charger

For the hands-on producer workflow, it is helpful if you already have access to:

  • A DAW, such as FL Studio or Ableton Live
  • Splice
  • Claude
  • Splice MCP installed

Don’t worry if you don’t have every subscription or setup ready. Collaboration and shared exploration are part of the session, and we’ll look for accessible ways for people to participate.

After the Tinker Meetup, you are also very welcome to stay for the optional evening programme from around 19:00. The evening will be a more music-focused community gathering with jamming, DJs, cocktails, food and networking.

There will be catering available during the evening programme.
Important: joining the evening programme requires a €15 catering fee.

Please let us know before May 28th if you would like to stay for the evening programme, so we can include you in the catering count.
Your evening spot is confirmed after payment via Tikkie or QR code.
Please make sure to RSVP via Meetup. You may be asked to show your Meetup RSVP at the door for the evening programme.

We’ll provide some basic space and structure for experimenting, but please bring anything you’d like to use for your own creative process.
Laptop, tablet, instrument, controller, music gear, notebook, ideas — anything you’d like to use to imagine, build, play or experiment.

## Collaboration: Esteem × AVTL

Tinker Nights are co-hosted by Esteem and AVTL. We share a passion for creativity, accessibility, and meaningful innovation — and above all, for community-driven entrepreneurship.
Together, we bring people from different fields together to explore what happens when design, technology, and imagination meet — and to create a space where everyone can participate, learn, and contribute.
We’re still looking for business ideas, projects, or anything you’d like input on from the group. Please contact me so I can add you to the list!

About our main guests:

### Lucien Voort — Sound, Music & Therapeutic Experience

Lucien Voort will give a short demo exploring the relationship between sound, music, movement and therapeutic experience.
From his experience as a DJ and creative maker, Lucien is developing a workshop concept around how rhythm, frequency, atmosphere and movement can influence how people connect, move and experience sound.
This session will also function as the central case for this Tinker Night. We’ll use it as a starting point to reflect, experiment and explore together.

### Leco — AI as a Creative Co-Producer

Leco will host an interactive workshop about using AI in music production.
How can AI help you turn an idea into a musical concept? How can it support you with structure, harmony, melody or creative direction — even if you don’t read music or don’t have much production experience?
This workshop is designed to be accessible and practical. You’ll get to explore how AI can become part of your creative workflow.
Please bring a laptop or tablet if you can. A phone can also work, but a bigger screen and keyboard will make the workshop easier to follow.
