This 8.5 mile loop trail is considered a challenging route, with 1,800' elevation gain. Depending on the group size and pace, it may take us about 5 hours to complete. View our route here.

Please consider your ability for distance and elevation gain. We'll go counter-clockwise to do much of the climbing in the creekside breeze. There are also some narrow sections on these single trails. Lastly, there are trees to climb over or go under, nothing too major but be aware. No difficult creek crossings. The good news is that it is mostly shaded and we'll enjoy the peaceful sound of water for much of the hike. This is an incredible place to explore.

Remember to bring plenty of water, snacks, sunscreen, and any other items you like to have on a hike of this distance and elevation gain. You may find hiking poles valuable along the creek and for sections of steep and rugged trail. Sturdy hiking shoes/boots with plenty of grip are a must.

We'll break at Big Ben tree for snacks or lunch so bring what you like to refuel for our return.

Let's meet at the Fall Creek Unit parking lot by 9:00am for a round of introductions. This parking lot is small and can fill up. Thus carpooling is encouraged. We'll start promptly at 9:10am to allow plenty of time to complete the hike.

No fee for parking and no dogs allowed on these trails.
