Hike / Wildflower Show [Garland Ranch Park, Carmel Valley]

The wildflowers of Garland Ranch continue to bloom when other areas have turned brown with Summer. Meet us at the annual Garland Ranch Wildflower show on Sunday for a mid-day hike. We will meet there around 10am and take a little time to browse and ask the rangers where the flowers are blooming.

Depart the flower show at 10:30am -- we will gather just outside of the flower display at 10:25am. There is a very short drive to our hike departure point.

After the hike, we can double check the displays to identify any mysterious species we come across (take a good picture).

Hike Details:
10am -- Meet and greet at Visitor Center for Wildflower Show. Come back after hiking if you want more time viewing displays!
10:25 -- Depart from show, via a short carpool to the trailhead.
Basic Hike Route — 3.5 miles, 800’ elevation.
Strenuous Hike, shows basic loop plus options, total is 5.8 miles, 2,000’ TEG!

Weather Forecast: Sunny, 66(F) to 72(F) during hike.
Bring water and snacks / lunch, and sun protection.

Map to Trailhead: Keep it simple by meeting us at the Wildflower Show and carpooling to East Garzas Rd via convoy. But, you may want to pre-load one of these approximate maps — watch for our cars parked along East Garzas:

Two (or more) of us will carry the Alltrails map, in case fast and slow hiking groups decide to separate. But, we will try our famous ReGroupercize (TM 🤣) to keep everybody happy and mostly together!
