On this hike, we'll hit the high lights in Henry Cowell including an out & back to the San Lorenzo river on Diversion Dam Trail.
Trail is Moderately Challenging: The route, rated as moderately challenging, is generally well-maintained with some short inclines and a mix of shade and exposed. Poison Oak is abundant especially on Big Rock Hole. Distance and elevation are estimates.
We'll keep a fairly fast pace, averaging 2.7mph. Please allow up to 5 hours.
Where to meet: We'll meet in front of the Mountain Parks Nature Store. Please arrive ahead of time to use the restrooms and be ready to start promptly at 9:00am.
What to bring: plenty of water, sun, poison oak, and tick protection, and anything else that you like for your hikes. We'll break for a snack at the river and observation deck.
State Park fee - $10 without pass. No dogs on these trails.
