Nisene and Medicine Buddha 14+ Miles ~2800 TEG
Details
Early start 8:00 am! Join us on a shady hike in the lovely forest of Nisene Marks. We'll start at George's, going up West Ridge to the connector over to the 6 mile loop at Land of Medicine Buddha. Once back in Nisene, we'll make our way over to Bridge CreekTrail. To cool off, we'll return on Porter Trail and cross Aptos Creek twice. Be prepared to get your feet wet! Although we tend to keep a brisk pace, this is somewhat exploratory, so please allow up to 7 hours. We'll take at least one snack break along the way.
Detailed route estimated 14-16 miles: click here for our route on AllTrails.
Please be prepared! The trail is mostly shaded, has some steep and narrow sections, a few creek crossings, and a log bridge. There is lots of poison oak and this is tick season. Bring plenty of water, snacks, sun protection, bug spray and any other items you like to have on a hike of this distance and elevation.
We'll meet at George's picnic area and start our hike promptly at 8:00am. I don't have cell or internet service in the park.
$8/vehicle day use fee to The Forest of Nisene Marks State Park, no dogs allowed on these trails. New pit toilets at the start.
