Fall Creek Truck Big Ben Lost Empire 11 miles - 2400' TEG

This Fall Creek 10.5 mile loop is a moderately challenging route, with an estimated 2400' elevation gain. Depending on the group size and pace, it may take us 4-5 hours to complete. I tend to hike fast enough to get a good workout while enjoying the surroundings. View our route here.

Let's meet at the Fall Creek Unit parking lot. Be sure to arrive a little bit early as we start our hike at 9:00am sharp.

Going counter clockwise first on Fall Creek Fire Road to Ridge Trail, we'll hike at a steady, quick pace and take a few steep inclines as well as descents at various sections of the loop. We'll climb up Truck Trail, down Big Ben Trail and back up to Big Ben Tree, then down Lost Empire. There are also some narrow parts on these single trails. Lastly, there might be trees to climb over or go under and a few creek crossings. The good news is that it is mostly shaded and we'll enjoy the peaceful sound of water for much of the hike.

Bring plenty of water, snacks, sunscreen, and any other items you like to have on a hike of this distance and elevation gain. We'll break mid-point for snacks/lunch so bring what you like to refuel for our return.

Please note that this parking lot is small and can fill up. No fee for parking, no restrooms, and no dogs allowed on these trails.
