Shameless Soapbox

Come to a meetup that actively encourages self-promotion. Shameless Soapbox is an open mic style of networking session and is for you if you are in business (or want to be), have an idea that you want to get off the ground, or work with budding entrepreneurs in some way.

This month our focus is on giving a little back to the Wellington community from the funds we raised at the Connect Wellington Community Golf Day, held in March.

We will be presenting cheques to Kaibosh (http://www.kaibosh.org.nz/), WorkerBe Oasis (https://www.facebook.com/search/top/?q=workerbe%20oasis), The Common Unity Project Aotearoa (http://www.commonunityproject.org.nz/), Zero Waste Aotearoa, the Capital Sport Academy and Upper Hutt Community Youth Trust (http://www.uhcyt.org.nz/).

We will also be running a Shameless Showcase were you will have the chance to sample and buy some of Wellington's finest locally produced products.

So come along to meet the folk behind theses community groups, and be prepared to network with:
• A short intro – who, what and why
• Lots of business cards
• Brochures and other printed material to pass around
• An open mind and a little quirky Wellington Village fun!
