2019 MOBILITY YEAR IN REVIEW
2019 was a pivotal year in mobility. There were many important achievements - to name a few, electric vehicle sales set a new record, Uber and Lyft IPO’d, Waymo demonstrated truly driverless cars, regulators began granting approval to drone deliveries and electric Vertical Take Off and Landing (eVTOL) vehicles flew for the first time. 2019 was also a year of “reality-checks” as congestion and public transportation woes reached new heights for cities like Boston and ‘new’ mobility business models failed to win with investors. As we head into 2020, join us to reflect upon how this year’s milestones, momentum and wake up calls will continue to shape the movement of people and goods going forward. We’ll convene insights from transportation advocates, investors and entrepreneurs for an informed (and no doubt) passionate debate.
