Collaborate, Share, Talk, Hack, Make, Break, Fix, Enjoy, Learn, Re-use, Contribute

Visitors and newcomers are very welcome, please see https://hackmelbourne.com/newcomer-faq/ for more details.

The space is a short(ish) 400m walk from Glenferrie train station. Car parking is available at Hawthorn Town Hall, and at the front door if you're early/lucky enough.

Drop in for a tour (if you'd like one) from the duty manager (Hank). If you'd like to, bring a laptop and a project you'd like to work on/get help with. There aren't too many group projects going on at the moment, but there's always something interesting on the desks!

We have starter kits for Arduino, two 3D printers (Cosmo and Wanda), a CNC router, light work shop equipment, and various other tools/ equipment available for members to use in prototyping/hobby craft (such as mood lights or robot hands, pictured).

Hank is fairly happy to help with small Arduino programming/mechatronics projects, CNC routing (on Bessie the Router), and/or laser cutting. Please note laser cutter use incurs a $30 fee for casual visits. We reserve the right to turn away large volume laser cutting requests.

Sessions run from 6:45pm till later in the evening (depending on our members' availability to close) but if you're new please come early.
