Nature Walk, Connection & Lunch - A Singles Social Walk

Details
Looking for a relaxed and refreshing way to meet like-minded singles?
Ditch the awkward speed dating and noisy bar scenes and online dating, this event is all about fresh air, friendly faces, and meaningful conversations.
Join us for a scenic 3.5km walk at Pound Bend Yarra Loop in Warrandyte, a location rich with history and cultural significance. Along the way, take in stories of the Wurundjeri people, spot native wildlife (keep an eye out for kangaroos near the picnic grounds!), and visit the fascinating Evelyn Tunnel where the Yarra River continues to flow from the gold mining era.
This walk is suitable for beginners with a moderate fitness level – most of the path is flat and gravel, with a short uphill section. Wear comfortable walking clothes and shoes (runners or hiking boots are perfect). Bring a jacket or raincoat in case of wet weather.
This event is aimed at singles aged 38–55 but if you’re a few years either side and think this sounds like your vibe, come along. It’s all about bringing together people in a similar life stage for easy, natural conversations.
Meeting Point:
📍 Car Park – Corner of Pound Bend Rd & Everard Drive, Warrandyte 3113
Drive through the Parks Victoria gate to the large car park at the bottom. Meet your host Vanessa Maree at the “Park Information” shelter.
✨ What to Expect:
- A walk in beautiful, lush surroundings with the chance to chat and connect.
- Connection cards at the picnic area post-walk to spark conversations.
- Lunch at The Grand Hotel Warrandyte (aka the pub haha!) (a 5-min drive) to keep the connections flowing.
This isn’t a dating event – it’s about meeting new people, making friends, and spending a few hours with others who value genuine connection in a relaxed setting (you never know where you will meet a romantic partner...)
What to Bring:
Comfortable walking clothes (no need to dress up, yay!)
Jacket or raincoat if it looks rainy
Water bottle
A sense of adventure!
