Chester, Essex, Deep River and Gillette Castle Ride

This ride offers curvy scenic roads with views of the Connecticut River, Gillette Castle, and the quaint downtowns of Chester, Deep River, and Essex. This route is 27.5 miles with 1841' of elevation gain. We will be riding at an average moving pace of 12-14 mph going faster on the flats and slower on the hills. We will also be crossing the CT river on the ferry in Chester and the fee is 2.00$.
E-bikes are welcome!
Meet at 9:30 and be prepared to roll at 10:00 sharp!
Please make sure you bring plenty of water and snacks to get you through the ride. Also, bring extra tubes and supplies to deal with any mechanical issues you might have.
This is not a no drop ride, so make sure you download the route if you can't keep the pace. We will regroup at the top of hills.

After the ride join us for a meal and fellowship at Marker 37 in Chester.
In case of rain, ride will move to Sunday June 8th. Same time and place.
