Worm Moon over the EF Language School - Nyack Memorial Park $30

This month, I have a new location for shooting the moon! The foreground building is Butler Hall at the EF School in Tarrytown, NY. We will be shooting from Nyack Memorial Park in Nyack, NY. We will meet at the Historical Society of Nyack at 50 Piermont Ave. in Nyack. It is across the street from the park. Please bring a flashlight because it will be dark when we leave. The walk to the shooting location will be downhill and the walk back will be uphill.

The sun will set at 7:04 PM and the moon will rise at 8:38 PM. At 8:50 PM the moon will be behind the dome. The photo above was taken in the exact same spot. The moon will appear to be 159 feet in diameter as compared to the 90 foot building. The dome will be 3.5 miles away. I recommend a sturdy tripod, a remote release and a full frame lens equivalent of 600mm or greater.
