The Tea 2025 -- Camping Community weekend

A BIT OF TEA HISTORY

• July, 1996: Ontario HAI interns invited our US family for a camping week which culminated in a British High Tea complete with ‘pinkies-up’ bone china, scones, trifle… the works. We sat along an elegant table that ran the length of the porch, appointed with vases of wildflowers picked by nymphs of the woods. And each of us costumed to the hilt from the tickle trunk… It was rather like Fellini’s Satyricon. The Queen’s Envoy gave a welcome speech.
• The Tea, 2025: As every year, we’ll paint our own wings and soar among our own clouds. We will gather as family to connect, love, cuddle, in song, at bonfire, card games, body painting, fire spinning, massages, whatever someone offers. And we will gather once more on the veranda for Tea with scones and pinkies and wild flowers and bone china.

WHO’S INVITED
The tea has always nurtured a sex-positive, sex-friendly environment. HAI workshoppers participate in exercises that foster clear communication and respect of boundaries. We want to ensure that we maintain the kind of safe, loving community we’re accustomed to, where people are comfortable naked, and comfortable in their loving.
So, for first timers who want to come to our event, our request is they be invited and vouched for by someone who’s been here, someone comfortable with nudity and a sex-positive environment, and understands and agrees to respect consent and boundaries.
Please connect with Eric or Diana directly with anything. We’d love to hear from you. And please let us know you are coming. We need some idea of numbers and want to cut down on folks who show up unannounced.

COST
$175 for the event.
$75 For a day.
$75 per day for a room. (double bed)
$375 for a bunkie for the duration. (queen bed and futon)

FOOD
Food contributions are welcome. Contact Diana who will try to keep track of what folks are bringing so we don’t double up.
Meals are community events in the house. Everyone takes part in prepping, maintaining, cleaning etc throughout. It’s a wonderful way to walk the talk.

SCHEDULE … Let us know yours (helps with meal plans)

• Arrive Friday June 27th. We need to know if you’re planning to come earlier or stay later. The log home is a full-time B&B, and we need to book off time accordingly.
• Breakfast : about 8 to 10:30.
• Lunch : about 1
• Dinner : about 6. Snacks will be available throughout the day.
• THE TEA : Sunday June 29th at 4:00 pm (with prep work starting at 1:30). If you have any ‘goodies’ you’d like to bring for the tea, let Diana know. It’s always great to pamper ourselves with what we create.

WHAT TO BRING

• Your own towels,
• A cooler for your own personal beverages or snacks.
• A pot-luck contribution (dish, snack -- that doesn’t need refrigeration)

WHERE TO CAMP

• Our 11 acres is situated on a beautiful, wooded hillside, which means flat ground is limited, so please bring a tent that matches your needs. A very short walk from the house, thanks to Isaac and Sarah there are two bunkies, two outhouses, a shower with hot (as long as it lasts) water, a fire pit, gazebo with picnic table and BBQ.

Thanks again to Isaac and Sarah, there are now a few additional tent sites further into the woods for those who might dig the seclusion. We also have a couple of tents to lend, first ask, first served.

EVERYONE SHARES
in maintenance, clean-up and food prep. We are a family. The BnB we run here is essential to the income of our two families. Please help in any way you can to make this event have ‘zero impact’ on our precious land and home.
