Connection Is the Opposite: Dinosaurs, Glass Flowers & Coffee
Details
Connection is the opposite of addiction, but connection does not have to mean loud bars or awkward small talk. Sometimes it just means wandering through a museum with other people who get it.
Come look at dinosaurs, bizarre taxidermy, giant gemstones, and the famous Glass Flowers at Harvard Museum of Natural History. We’ll meet at 11:00 outside the museum, explore for an hour or two, then anyone who wants can grab coffee or lunch nearby in Harvard Square.
Massachusetts residents get free admission on Sundays from 9:00 AM–12:00 PM with ID, so this is a free and easy way to get out, connect, and do something different.
Low-pressure. Sober. No need to be especially social. You can come if you are shy, awkward, anxious, new in town, in recovery, or just tired of being alone. No pressure to be outgoing or make small talk. You can talk as much or as little as you want.
Afterward, whoever wants can get coffee or lunch nearby. A little more connection. A little less isolation.
