What we’re about
In this day and age we are becoming increasingly isolated and removed from connecting with one another in meaningful ways. We turn to social media and entertainment culture to keep us occupied and supported by brief momentary connection that often remains surface level.
Holistic wellbeing involves many forms of support: 1) We need to connect genuinely with others. 2) We need to build our capacity to be present and embodied. 3) We need to engage with minds, bodies, and hearts.
This meetup group celebrates a variety of supports that foster holistic wellbeing for individuals and communities, including social events, support groups, yoga, meditation, story telling, and more!
We are a community of Los Angeles residents that value real, vulnerable, messy, supportive, sustainable relationships. We have moved all of our support groups online to keep them available during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Meetings will either be free or cheap - usually $10 or less. All meetings are Hosting by staff, volunteers, or counselors at The Relational Center, a Los Angeles 501c3 non-profit community center. Our mission is to lead a shift to a culture that values empathy, diversity, and interdependence. We envision a world in which communities collaborate to practice mindful compassion, mutual support, and civic engagement.
