Let's Explore: Keystone Ancient Forest
Details
Hey everyone,
Let's start the weekend outdoors and explore Keystone Ancient Forest together!
We'll meet at the Visitor Center/Gift Shop and head out for a hike through the preserve. We'll primarily explore the Childers and Frank trails, taking our time and enjoying the scenery along the way.
We'll also have the option of adding the Wilson Trail, which has more difficult and rocky terrain. We'll decide as a group when we're there based on everyone's interest and comfort level, as well as the weather and trail conditions.
We'll hike at a comfortable group pace with time to enjoy the forest and scenery along the way.

The forest includes post oaks estimated to be around 300 years old and eastern red cedars reaching approximately 500 years old. It was also the first Oklahoma property inducted into the Old-Growth Forest Network.
