Experience the incredible Gray Whales, steadfast voyagers on their annual pilgrimage from Arctic feeding grounds to Baja California’s warm waters.

Legacy Whale Watch is one of San Diego’s newest whale watching companies. As a family-owned local business, their passion for wildlife in our waters shines in everything they do. Set sail with the Legacy crew and Natural History Museum Whaler volunteers to learn about whales, dolphins, sea lions, and more. Catch a glimpse of migrating gray whales during the winter and blue whales during the summer.

There is plenty to see on these tours besides whales. There are numerous species of dolphins and porpoise as well as sea lions. San Diego County has over 500 species of birds. The Audubon society states that San Diego has more species of birds in a single county than any other county in the United States. It also has more species of birds than any other place in the United States of comparable size.

Legacy’s 80-foot vessel offers two decks with indoor and outdoor seating, snacks and beverages for purchase, and three full-sized restrooms. The boat can host 115 passengers, providing an intimate experience and up-close views of ocean wildlife.

The tour officially starts at 10am.
