Old Coach to Raptor Ridge 🦅 - Coast to Crest Trail

Join us on a hike from the Old Coach Trail Staging Area to Raptor Ridge. There is riparian habitat as well as coastal sage scrub along the trail. The first part of the walk is mostly level and then we will ascend to about 350 feet in elevation for about 0.85 miles to the viewpoint. Here, we will get a chance to enjoy a view of the San Pasqual Valley and see birds like the red-tailed hawk and American kestrel.

We will meet at the Old Coach Staging Area North parking lot at 9am. Please be prompt!🙂

Directions to Old Coach Staging Area North:
14225 Highland Valley Rd

Take the 15 North or South
Take exit 26 to Pomerado Rd
Turn right at the stoplight
Turn left onto Highland Valley Rd
Go east about 2 miles on Highland Valley Rd
Pass the San Pasqual Water Reclamation Plant
Drive until you see a driveway to a nursery
Parking lot is on the right side

Wear sun protection and wharever is comfortable to you. Bring binoculars, water, a snack, and anything else that can help you on the trail.
