6:45 for 7 pm start. Full Moon Fire Ceremony ๐ฅ๐
Our local Shaman friend Shannon O'Flaherty, who has led some lovely rituals and ceremonies for our Conscious Cafe Skipton community on the year's quarter days, regularly offers a Full Moon Ceremony in her garden in Ilkley. She is inviting you to join her. She usually holds these on the actual Full Moon day or within 3 days either side to stay in the full moon energy.
Why itโs named this
Strawberry Moon, Named by Algonquin tribes for the short strawberry harvesting season in North America.
Symbolises
Symbolises harvesting the "sweetness" of life, gratitude for abundance, and enjoying the fruits of your labor.
Spiritual meaning
The Strawberry Moon carries themes of contentment, presence, and celebration. It encourages reflection on what feels good, nourishing, and aligned, and invites you to pause long enough to truly receive it. It asks a gentle question: where can you allow yourself to enjoy rather than strive?
It's associated with abundance, emotional openness, and the sweetness of life, and many view it as a good moment to listen to your heart, trust your inner voice, and welcome positive change.
Shannon says: "Acknowledging the presence of the Full Moon is about ending one cycle and beginning a new one. To let go, invite in, find balance and connect with your higher knowing and connection to Source. Fire ๐ฅ transmutes heavy energy to light! Itโs amazing how much taking things to the fire can alter your life! ๐๐ "
Bring a small stick about the size of a pencil. Or a pine cone to burn.
WEATHER NOTE: Dress appropriately! If it's really pouring we'll have it inside.
