Full Moon Fire Ceremony 🔥🌕 Harvest Moon

Details

6:45 for 7 pm start. Full Moon Fire Ceremony 🔥🌕
Our local Shaman friend Shannon O'Flaherty, who has led some lovely rituals and ceremonies for our Conscious Cafe Skipton community on the year's quarter days, regularly offers a Full Moon Ceremony in her garden in Ilkley. She is inviting you to join her. She usually holds these on the actual Full Moon day or a few day's either side.
🌾 The Harvest Moon
The Harvest Moon is the full moon that occurs closest to the autumn equinox.
Traditionally, it’s called the Harvest Moon because it gave farmers extra moonlight to gather crops late into the night—literally helping them harvest the fruits of their labor. That symbolism carries over into the spiritual meaning too.
Spiritually, the Harvest Moon is all about gratitude, completion, and reflection. It’s a time to pause and take stock of everything you’ve grown—both outwardly in your life and inwardly in your soul. It's a moon of abundance, not just in material terms, but in love, lessons, and personal growth.
Symbolically, it represents a threshold moment—a turning point from the active, outward energy of summer into the slower, more introspective vibe of autumn. It asks you to honor your journey, to gather your insights, and to prepare for a season of deeper self-awareness.
The Harvest Moon whispers:
What are you harvesting from this year’s journey? What are you ready to release, and what will you carry forward with love?

Shannon says: "Acknowledging the presence of the Full Moon is about ending one cycle and beginning a new one. To let go, invite in, find balance and connect with your higher knowing and connection to Source. Fire 🔥 transmutes heavy energy to light! It’s amazing how much taking things to the fire can alter your life! 🙏💜 "

Bring a small stick about the size of a pencil.
WEATHER NOTE: Although the fire ceremony dates are all on Meetup fixed in advance, as we get close to the evening, if big rain is forecast for that particular night, Shannon may advocate a date change to a dry night as all the events are outside in her garden!

Venue is Chez Shannon's in Ilkley. House number given to those who book. Please arrive at 6.45pm for a prompt 7pm start. Depending on the numbers, the ceremony will be over within 2 hours leaving time for a hot drink and review.
A donation of ÂŁ5 is requested for this offering to cover hospitality and Meetup costs.
